On December 7-9, 2023, the World New Energy Vehicle Conference was held in Haikou, Hainan Province. Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and President of the World New Energy Vehicle Conference, delivered a keynote speech. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee, Chen Jiachang, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Xin Guobin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Wang Gang, Deputy Minister of Transport, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Timur Gul, Chief Energy Technology Officer of the International Energy Agency, and Jean Fran ç ois Gane, Director of the Secretariat of the Clean Energy Ministerial Cooperation Mechanism, delivered video speeches.

    The entire conference was live streamed online, with over 6 million people participating online. Over 1300 guest representatives from 23 countries and regions attended the conference on site.
